  7. Numerous bugs have been fixed, some of the more major one addressed below:
  8.  
  9. * Multiple "Personal" categories (or multiple of any category) are
  10.   no longer possible.  If your data has already been corrupted,
  11.   the second "Personal" category will change to "Personal-1", etc.
  12.   This way you can delete them.
  13.  
  14. * Many of the reports have been fixed to print accurate numbers,
  15.   and not to print deleted categories.
  16.  
  17. * Many "mystery" bugs have vanished due to some internal code
  18.   cleanup.  These include dialog boxes without text, accelerators
  19.   not working, and other windows wierdness.
  20.  
  21. * When deleting a transfer between accounts, you will no longer UAE.
  22.  
  23. * The DDE interface is significantly cleaned up and working.
  24.  
  25. * The fonts dialog no longer lies.

  30. * Checks can now be printed one at a time on a dot matrix printer.
  31.   To enable this feature, select "Form Attributes" while in the
  32.   WinCheck Form Designer.  Check the button labeled "Print Direct",
  33.   and indicate the port your check printer is connected to.
  34.   Please keep in mind that you will not be able to select fonts
  35.   anymore for check printing-- the printer's internal default font
  36.   will be used.

  38. * Categories can now be classified as Income, Expense, or Both. All
  39.   of your categories from your current version will default to "Both".
  40.   You can modify these categories to specify income or expense with
  41.   the "Edit Categories" dialog.

  43.   By indicating Income or Expense, your budget reports will be more
  44.   informational.

  46. * Categories can be classified as Tax deductable.  When you enter a
  47.   new transaction, the "Tax Deductable" box will automatically check
  48.   when you select one of these categories.  You can still un-check
  49.   the box if you desire.

  51. * Expandability!  WinCheck now allows you to add custom tools to
  52.   your menu.  These tools use DDE to communicate with WinCheck.
  53.   A sample tool has been included to manage Payroll deposits.
  54.   The tool is called PAYROLL.EXE and requires that you have the
  55.   VBRUN100.DLL file (Visual Basic Engine).

  57.   To add this Payroll tool, select "Add Tool..." from the Tools menu,
  58.   and type PAYROLL.  If PAYROLL.EXE is in a different directory than
  59.   WinCheck, indicate the full path of PAYROLL.EXE.

  61.   Once you have added the tool, you will find it on your Tools menu.

  63.   The source code to PAYROLL and the source code to a more simple
  64.   add-on tool (Visual Basic) have been included on the distribution
  65.   disk in the TOOLS directory.
